The internet’s love affair with cats is justly covered, but there’s a species that we love just as much, that makes up a large majority of the USA’s Google search history: puppies.
Everybody loves puppies! Everybody loves puppies the way everybody loves Batman!
There’s a lot of chaos going on in the world at the moment, and Batman and puppies are two of the main things that can save us a whole lot of grief every time we open our news apps.
So, at DGHQ, we got to wondering: Who searches for Batman, and who searches for puppies?
By extension: Why isn’t there a Batman Vs Puppies movie? If there was, who’d come out on top?
Using Google’s data, we analyzed people’s search behavior for Batman and puppies.
mmmhh…what does this mean?
Basically, we looked into search results for every state in the US, for “puppies” and “Batman”, over the last five years, to see who came out on top.
The more media-oriented states of the South West and North East (like California, New York, Texas) all had Batman as their clear winner.
This could be due to the movies that have been released recently, or that Catwoman herself, Selina Kyle, is doing all of the searches nationwide.
(We wouldn’t be surprised).
Puppies, on the other hand, came out on top for a massively high percentage of states. Everywhere from Colorado to Wyoming to Washington people just love searching for their canine companions.
Do we really need to explain why that might be?
It’s time to work on how cute you look, Bruce.
Maybe Funko can help you out with that??
